Quality Policy

The quality assurance system as applied by Affilips N.V., Tienen, must guarantee the production and delivery of high quality master alloys in accordance with customers' requirements. This quality assurance is a 'must' and is one of the pillars that the future of Affilips N.V. should be secured and expanded upon.

The quality assurance system thus drawn up and described in this manual, complies with the requirements of the quality standards BS EN ISO 9001 (2000).

The most important points of this quality assurance system are as follows :

• Proper organization of the company, coupled to clearly defined responsibilities and qualifications at all levels.
• Well-organized and complete procedures to enable control over the great diversity of product specifications.
• Quality control, with emphasis on problem prevention.
• Periodical and critical analysis of the existing quality assurance system to ensure an optimum quality assurance system.
• Unselfish dedication by all personnel to ensure compliance to the specifications of the quality assurance system.

To this end, the Managing Director will entrust the head of the Quality Assurance Department, being the Quality Manager, with the responsibility to enforce the quality assurance system, and in liaison with the Managing Director, to initiate actions for improvement thereof.
